Vans ripped in multiple places after 2 months...

Hey, I got some Vans from Schuh at Christmas time, this morning I noticed that they are ripping around the toe area on both shoes, the sides have split on where your foot naturally curves when walking, and I'd say after a few more days of wearing, the soles of my shoes on the heels will be worn all of the way through. I don't know why these have deteriorated so fast as I have had other Vans that I wore way more and for far longer than these ones. My previous vans were the only shoes I took while travelling around Asia for 4 months and I had them for another year after that and they were still wearable but these after 2 months of wearing maybe 4 times a week look older than my old pair of Vans.
Does anyone know if I have any right to return or exchange these and get a refund?

Take your receipt and go and ask. Within six months you should be OK.

Six months means nothing when it comes to wear and tear.
Just playing devils advocate here, no one knows what the OP has been doing with the footwear. Using them as brakes for a bike, mountain climbing, what ever.

All the shop will see is a well used pair of shoes and default to wear and tear on the heavy side. Unless there has been a few of the same type with the same problem then you will struggle so expect a bit of a fight with this.

They are a shoe brand - usually made of canvas. Originally developed for skateboarders I believe.

    Just playing devils advocate here,

I have looked before at Shoe companies warranties and 6 months seem about the norm. But as you say this will probably have a look first.

When did you get appointed as the thread police? Although to be honest it's the worst trolling I've seen here yet.

I think they forgot to put a smiley on the end although it still wouldn't make it particularly funny.
