Depending on what sort and size of company you have, up here you would not rely on getting any of the contractors the council use, they will be so busy in March because councils have to spend their money prior to 31 st so usually last minute spends and contracts awarded.0

10.—(1) Before the consumer is bound by an off-premises contract, the trader—
(a)must give the consumer the information listed in Schedule 2 in a clear and comprehensible manner, and
(b)if a right to cancel exists, must give the consumer a cancellation form as set out in part B of Schedule 3.
(2) The information and any cancellation form must be given on paper or, if the consumer agrees, on another durable medium and must be legible.

And schedule 2 tells us the information that must be provided includes:(j)the arrangements for payment, delivery, performance, and the time by which the trader undertakes to deliver the goods or to perform the services;
Also:36.—(1) The trader must not begin the supply of a service before the end of the cancellation period provided for in regulation 30(1) unless the consumer—
(a)has made an express request, and

End of March for a outdoor job that is dependent on the weather is quite acceptable. Don't expect it to be more specific until about a week before.
