When my wife and I remortgaged in 2002 to change from an interest only to a repayment one we were told that I had to take a critical illness policy with the mortgage. As we cleared the mortgage 4 years ago and cancelled the policy we are wondering if this is the same as ppi mis selling and as a result entitled to a refund?

Critical illness cover is critical illness cover. It is not payment protection insurance. Normally, the CIC is coupled with life assurance when covering a mortgage.we are wondering if this is the same as ppi mis selling and as a result entitled to a refund?
What makes you think that covering your mortgage would be a missale?I am an Independent Financial Adviser (IFA). The comments I make are just my opinion and are for discussion purposes only. They are not financial advice and you should not treat them as such. If you feel an area discussed may be relevant to you, then please seek advice from an Independent Financial Adviser local to you.0
