    Better still, don't use O or 0 in any important financial or activation codes.
  • I have to record serial numbers of our equipment - with some of them I have actually had to resort to using a magnifying glass to read them, leave alone differentiating between 0's and O's!
    The acquisition of wealth is no longer the driving force in my life. :)

    Bit hard to avoid though considering serial keys and activation codes are generated or given to you.

    That's not strictly true with language - if people misuse or invent words and they are used often enough, they become a correct part of the language. Dictionaries are being updated all the time.

  • nought, that's how I learned it at school, never zero. zeros and crosses? I think the first zero I heard was on space ship countdowns....

    Any time I write a 0 down and it's not clear if it might be a letter or a number, that's what I do. Phone numbers do not require a slash, needless to say...
    My TV is broken! :cry:
