I have a Dlink NAS and giving other users access was not on my list of requirements when i bought it.

Thought it would be handy to give people their own folder to store stuff, but i found the same. Access is an all or nothing approach.

I could work around it by using a website to give them access, but im too lazy for that.

Well I have a Seagate Central, which whilst painfully slow at times at least is fully configurable via a built-in web interface for multiple users and has a DLNA Server, iTunes Server etc. It used to have access from the internet via a third-party service but Seagate took that away. No loss as I'd never used it. The thing is not perfect by any means, but I'm grateful for this thread as it's convinced me to avoid this WD MyCloud affair at all costs if I ever decide to replace the Seagate!
