Prior to FOS involvement they can pretty much offer whatever they like... if it is accepted that is the end of it. As you took your complaint to FOS they have been ‘instructed’ to follow set guidelines how to come to the redress figure.

There is no big scandal or mystery, simply put you will need to wait for s full breakdown of the offer - if you then decide to take it to FOS again they will confirm that this is within their guidlines... at which point you can finally move on with your life.
