Success - NCP issued refund

I lost at POPLA, however, I have still had success in another way!
Despite contacting the retailer and showing proof of receipts, as well as posts from this forum proving that their company had previously insisted the charges were dropped against their patrons, I was told on numerous occasions they could not do a thing.
I did not have the capacity to be dealing with court threats and continue fighting it with NCP themselves so I very begrudgingly paid and continued to seek help from local councillors and the local MP to at least prevent their unregulated charges being enforced upon others. I can't say the councillors were of much help (stating they had no control over NCP etc) but the local MP did write to the CEO of NCP. Low and behold, a few days later I just happened to be checking my account and noticed a refund from the previous day of the £100 charge from NCP.
