You would need very specific insurance of your own also as normal insurance policies don't allow hire or reward.0

Angus Og and mercdriver have the best advice between them:
Sell it, because the overheads, insurance and maintenance, will be too high to give you any profit. It has to be mechanically sound and fit for the road, including an MOT ticket, if applicable. The internal furniture has to be properly maintained. If you sell it, your choices are "as is" or taking it to a garage that handles camper vans, to service and maintain it. If you hire it out, all that maintenance will have to be repeated at intervals.
I advise you to sell it "As Seen, no warranty implied or given". Ensure that the buyer signs a receipt to that effect.I think this job really needs
a much bigger hammer.

Sell via an enthusiast's forum, that way you can be fairly confident that it will be looked after. If you keep it, it will just be an overhead and will deteriorate over time and that will make you sad.
I had a Spitfire that I restored over 20 years ago, but I lost my storage for it and didn't drive it enough to make it worthwhile paying for a garage. I felt a bit torn over it, but I sold it as I knew it would deteriorate sat out on the road.
Very happy I did, as the new owner had dry storage and was going to enjoy it.
I'm sure your dad would want it to be enjoyed by someone rather that sat in a garage.0 -
Renting out a vehicle for hire or reward is fraught with insurance problems for a private owner, according to what I have read over the years in Motorhome magazines.I used to think that good grammar is important, but now I know that good wine is importanter.0
