Strange Amazon postage.

Just ordered some large bulky items from Amazon, not prime items.
Standard free delivery, Tuesday/Wednesday 5th/6th
Express delivery £2.99, Tuesday/Wednesday 5th/6th
2 Day delivery £5.99, Thursday 7th.
Pay extra and get it the same time or slower? Think their postage is broken

It may well be faulty, there could be an alternate explanation knowing the Amazon system.forgotmyname wrote: »Just ordered some large bulky items from Amazon, not prime items.

If it's a large bulky item they probably use a next day courier, so the first two would be the same.
The last one is possibly a Royal Mail parcel service. It may be there in case the customer lives in a far out UK postcode that the courier doesn't deliver to but RM do..0 -
Yes large bulky and heavy items, add to the fact I did buy a few of them also. Not sure if they will send individually or strap them together to make a single very heavy item? Standard mainland postcode.
Just thought it amusing that I could pay extra for a slower service.
As you say its probably just an oddity where their standard postage system doesnt quite work out for larger/heavy items.Censorship Reigns Supreme in Troll City...0
