  • Thanks mioliere and free!

Well, I made another quiche with all the left over ingredients and I made the cake with DS1. He wolfed down the corned beef hash but he'll eat anything if there's the promise of a cake at the end of it:rolleyes: He also finished off the tinned pineapple which was a result as he's very fussy about fruit. I'll have to stock up on pineapple!

You should have seen OH's face when he got home from work - he thought all his Christmases had come at once!:rotfl:He really loved what I'd made and I must admit it tasted pretty good.

Onwards and upwards... tomorrow I'm planning lentil and bacon soup with the leftover bacon, and more bread.
    I think I'll ask Santa for a breadmaker then I'll be a true OSer:T

I'm always inspired by all you domestic goddesses.

    Goddess eh?

I've never been called one of them before, but I think I'm liking it! :D
  • Scouser, you know everyone here worships you like a God!;)

Sorry I took so long to reply - the pc crashed:mad: . Anyway, after yesterday's resounding success (OH has taken leftover quiche to work for lunch) I've been very busy this morning making more bread and some biscuits with DS1. It's going to take all afternoon to clean up the flour that's EVERYWHERE but that's what happens when a four year old "helps" with the baking:rolleyes:

I'm going to make bacon and lentil soup later after I've taken DS1 to nursery and I've got to pop into the corner shop for an onion. I've got nothing in for my lunch, well nothing I fancy (I'm pregnant) so I'm going to be VERY, VERY, naughty and popping into the chippie next to the corner shop! How bad is that?:rotfl: Not very OS I know but I'm really craving vinegar. Yum.

Well done chick on your first OS ventures and congrats on bub on the way too.

i know the feeling of tryign to cook with a little one , my son is 3 and a hlaf and my god the mess is unreal. Flylady goddesses would faint with the shock of my flour coated son i think on days!!!

Domestic goddessery (even a word? it is now) is not one of my strong holds either, my bf and i have been living togehter for about 4 years now and i still cant seem to get it right. I tidy up what visible mess there is so its neat and tidy when he gets in but DS is back from nursery by then so its wrecked before his fahte rgets home - im tempted to take pictures some days just to prove it was clean!!!

Well done on the soup attempt to - how did it turn out??

You'll soon be dishing out advice with some of us on here and laughing at some disasters we have too.

  • Cheers Sammy-Kaye!
One of the only perks about being pregnant is being able to eat whatever you fancy at ridiculous times of the day!

My trick with the cleaning is to do it late in the afternoon just before OH gets in from work. Then he gets to see it looking clean and tidy and says "I don't know how manage to keep it so tidy with these two monsters trashing it..." not realising that it's looked like a landfill site for most of the day!

If you're craving vinegar now you're a Domestic Goddess, maybe it's actually an urge to clean something with it... :rotfl:
    On a mission.

Now, the real question is....What happened to rest of the quiche that the cat snaffled?
Here at chaos castle, I would have tidied it up a bit and removed any hairs. Then served it up to OH...when he asked where my tea was, I would answer that I had already eaten mine....couldn't wait.

My top tip for making th ehouse appear cleaner than it is....is to spray a bit of Mr Sheen in the hall...use it like air freshener really...OH arrives home and smells polish.
