"Card Protection" appearing on debit card

Options
Hello,

I noticed that a transaction on my Barclays debit card appeared last week and just showed "Card Protection" as the reference.
Looking at the various thread on the site, is this likely to be CPP mis-selling?

When searching back, I noticed that they also took money out in the middle of 2016.
I've never heard of CPP and certainly didn't take any card protection out, how do I get this back?

You don't. That ship sailed years ago.

Cancel it if you no longer need it.

Cancel it from CPP or Barclays?

You first need to find out what the insurance actually is and when it was first (mis?) sold to you. If it is indeed CPP (which is still not definite) the refund scheme has long since closed.

It is therefore to Barclays that you address any complaint and it is Barclays who will be able to assist you in cancelling the insurance if you no longer require it.

Find out what it is (and actually covers) in the first instance..

Fairly sure this is now CPP because if you type the transaction ref in to Google, there is only 1 result which is CPP.
As I have never heard or received anything from this company before, do I just ring them up and give them my address so I can cancel it?

As before, contact your card provider in the first instance.

The CPP refund scheme ended a few years ago and you are far too late for that..
