Washing Machine Recommendations

Hey,
After an unbelievable amount of time (13-14 ish years) out crappy Indesit Moon machine has finally given us a reason to get rid and buy new!
However it has come at a time when money is hard to come by.

We are looking at a budget of £450 max but would prefer to keep it under £400. I have searched around, read lots of reviews and I am now in a position where I have absolutely no idea what to buy.

My personal preferences for the machine would be quiet-ish, good features and economical. But it MUST be an 8kg+ machine.

I am hoping someone with better knowledge and expertise would be able to advise me on what I should buy, or even somebody who has found an amazing offer. I am just sat here pulling my hair out at this point lol.

JL is a good option but their standard guarantee period for washing machines is 2 yrs.
We have had a couple of Indesits and got a total of about 20 years out of them which is good value for sub £250 machines.
Current machine is a 5yr old Samsung Ecobubble. They are now cheaper than they were 5 years ago. My wife says it cleans very well and the daily wash cycle is 64 mins.
JL have this 9kg Samsung WW90J5456MA ecobubble at £409 with free guarantee period extended to 5yrs.
No doubt after all the post come in on this forum you will be even more confused but if you only want to spend £250 get another Indesit.

I am going to look at that exact Samsung (well same model different colour so the serial ends GA) - Currently in Currys @ £399.99 with a possible 10% off code to make it around £360 :) (Code is LKA10A for anyone interested)

Which? have nine Best Buys under £400, maximum load at least 8kg. Two Zanussi, two Beko, four Bosch and one Samsung. Overall scores are between 71% and 76%.

    The cheapest of these nine Best Buy washing machines are Zanussi ZWF81463W (73%, £290), Zanussi ZWF91283W (76%, £330), Beko WIY84540S (72%, £370) and Bosch WAQ283S1GB (72%, £370).

    HTH! :)

we've just got a Blomberg 9kg for £360 washes well on the eco cotton mode around 35 mins other cycles like a boil wash do take hours. Three years parts and labour guarantee extended to 5 years free if you register it. quite impressed since I was just looking for a cheap machine to make do until we redo the kitchen.

I’ve always bought Bosch and never been disappointed with performance or product life.

Here's a second vote for Bosch. When our last washer was on it's last legs, I asked the guy who tried to fix it, what he would choose. He said Bosch because they hardly ever go wrong, but if they do, they are easy to fix and the parts easy to get hold of. I went with Bosch and I'm happy.
    Hope that helps.
  • If i were you i would bought samsung or bosch washing machine. Today exist many modes and cycles in it which can save water and electricity. I use portable washing machine and it is ok.
  • I have bad understanding about washing machines, so i can just recommend you to buy a temporary portable washer. If you have not bought washer yet, it helps you.
