OVO smart meter campaign
I'm pleased with the savings I got with the OVO deal but had a very persistent rep on the phone trying to get me to move to smart meters.
Even though the second generation are better I still don't want one.
I mentioned that my gas meter was making a regular squeaking noise (very technical from a chartered engineer!) and would be reporting that.
The smart meter rep came back on the phone to say the only way to get this fixed was by having a smart meter!!
Can I insist OVO replace the meter with a standard one?
Has anyone else been contacted to change to smart meters by someone who won't take "no" for an answer?

They can fit whatever meter they like. However, you can insist that the communications on the smart meter is disabled.0
