I have received a parking charge notice from myparkingcharge.co.uk through the post today addressed to the keeper my husband. The have issued a notice for £100 for unpaid parking charges for 62 minutes in a shopping centre car park. I was the driver and I am a blue badge holder. I thought this was a council car park and as I had a blue badge I didn’t need to pay. This company has had my husbands info from somewhere as it was posted to us. What do I do, ignore this letter or appeal. They have a picture of the car entering and leaving. I genuinely thought as I am a blue badge holder and thought it was council run car park that I didn’t need to pay the 60p parking fee. Is this company an accredited operator as they say on their letter. Advice much appreciated on what I should do. Thanks

Whose car park is it? Have you read the NEWBIE sticky, post # 1? The KEEPER needs to use the BLUE template appeal and send it to the PPC without alteration, deletion or addition.0

As Le_Kirk's advice above, plus email a landowner complaint to whoever manages the shopping centre and car park, the store managers should be able to tell you who that is. Landowner complaints are best done ASAP, with reference to or, better still, evidence of money spent and a strong insistence on cancellation.0

Have you used your real name as your forum username?
If so, you would be wise to get your forum username changed to something very much more anonymous.
To help with that, you might like to read this short extract from The MSE Forum Guide - Frequently Asked Questions & Rules:Q. How can I change my username?
A. In most circumstances, this is not permitted.
The only reason we will change your username is if it puts your privacy at risk. This usually means you've inadvertently registered using your name, email address or something that gives away your identity within your username.
If you fall into this category, email forumteam@moneysavingexpert.com and request that it is changed, giving three alternative usernames in order of preference.0 -
Date of contravention and date on PCN/NTK please. to check it complies with POFA timescales.
Read the Blue Badge handbook. Not every car park is free and it is up to the holder to check each time.0 -
