Sale or return

Hi everyone,
I feel like I’ve been fleeced!
I left a car with a car dealership on a sale or return agreement. After a couple of weeks their website was closed down and it was advertised on another dealerships website, which I was told was part of their dealership (different name, but bigger catchment area) Car was sold and monies processed by original dealership. We’ve not been paid and the second dealership that was advertising my car is accepting no liability as it didn’t go through their books...
What are my rights? Is this illegal? How do I take this further to get my money?

Forget websites for now, who have you got an agreement with? The name on the paperwork you have received.
