Hello all, this is a follow up to:

showthread.php?p=75411179#post75411179 (won't let me post links to I've removed this websites url)

I used the blue default appeal letter as advised at on Day 26/27 of the process.

Today is Day 52 and I've received a letter from UKPC requesting that I inform them of the drivers full name, address etc. To be completed within 7 days.

The letter continues to inform me:

'Failure to provide this information will give us no alternative other than make a final decision based on the previous information received. At this stage a POPLA verification code will be provide. PLEASE DO NOT IGNORE THIS LETTER. UKPC REGULARLY TAKES MOTORISTS TO COURT..'

Then offers me the reduced fine of £40 again (surprise surprise)

Do I simply ignore this letter? Not sure how they plan to proceed without the drivers details? Through my limited understanding I believe they have to issue a POPLA within 56 days... This doesn't seem to be a POPLA as they mention it'll be provided later, I have up to 7 days to reply (not that I'm sure I'm meant to) which takes me to Day 59...

Thanks again for your help. This forum is such an incredible help!

Yes ignore it of course, like everyone else who posts about that letter...(no need).

And please continue on your old thread when it comes to POPLA.

  • OK - thanks for the fast reply!

Can delete/lock this post, I wasn't sure about the etiquette about continuing in a old post or not.

Always stay on your first thread on this forum (not the same rule on all MSE boards but we have to have it to keep us focussed on case details otherwise we would have no chance at all of helping you!).

You can edit the title (ADVANCED EDIT - not on a phone though) to mark it 'duplicate thread, please ignore').
