What does it mean if a PPI complaint is at the data gathering stage?
Complaint has been going on for over 10 weeks now and this is what I’ve been told where it currently stands. Apparently 2 out of the 3 loans are at this stage and PPI was found.m
What should be the next step after this?

What does it mean if a PPI complaint is at the data gathering stage?
Wording by many firms can mean different things. There is no official wording called "data gathering stage". If a firm wants to call it that, then that is their choice but could cover a range of things.
The meaning of the words suggests they are gathering data and are not ready to make a decision. The further back in time you are looking at, the longer it takes to obtain data.I am an Independent Financial Adviser (IFA).
