Curve credit limit increase timescale?

in Credit cards
Tried to pay an £2012 AMEX bill the other day with my Curve card. It failed.
Upon digging around I just discovered that curve has a £2000 a day limit on transactions. A bit strange I thought considering it's my money? If I have the money in my debit card then who are curve to limit me? Anyway...
I raised the issue with curve as apparently they can put up your limit if you ask them. But this was 2 days ago and I've heard nothing back, does anyone know typically how long this might take? If it's likely to take ages I will just pay the bill with my debit card directly. I would however like to pay with curve as I like that it gives me a breakdown of my spending.

Why didn't you just pay Amex directly with the underlying Debit Card?
Curve no longer allows you to pay credit card bills with an underlying credit card... It may work, but it'll likely get you suspended as it's now a breach of the T&C / Fair Usage Policy. Most customers will do this to double dip (e.g. Pay off an Amex with a rewards Visa/MasterCard), but I'm guessing they were under pressure to avoid people getting into further debt by paying credit with credit.
With regards to the limits, they just raise naturally as you use them, for example my daily spend limit is £3,7500 -

You can email/contact their support team and ask them to raise the limit.
It may well be "your money", but the TOU's of the card that stated when you signed up for it what any limits will be0 -
I've emailed them for an increase. Just wondering how long it might take if anyone has any experienceThis is a system account and does not represent a real person. To contact the Forum Team email forumteam@moneysavingexpert.com0

Generally they won't increase this manually, but will do so automatically after a particular period of time and building up a spend history with them, you'll simply need to wait it out.0

They mean that within the curve app it will give a breakdown of all spending.
Here's an idea, pay the Amex bill in two transactions on different days.
Regarding the increase in limit I have only seen it be raised after reaching the £10k per year limit and curve did this automatically within a couple of days.0 -
Ah to heck with them. I'm not playing games. its not a credit card its my money.i just paid the bill with the underlying debit card and have shoved the curve card to the back of the wallet. This is a system account and does not represent a real person. Bit late to the party on this thread but has anyone had there limits increased above 50K a year? I use my curve to pay corporation tax and have maxed it out already...the automatic increase doesn't seem to occur.0

Also, my cashback period has ended so there is no incentive at all to use it now. This is a system account and does not represent a real person. To contact the Forum Team email forumteam@moneysavingexpert.com0
