PPI Offer after Bankrupcy

When i say it can't be right I meant in the sense that the offers shouldn't of been offered, but a letter saying because of the bankruptcy what we can offer will go to the OR.
It is perfectly right. When you decided to go bankrupt you handed over ALL of your finances up to the point of the bankruptcy to the official receiver, both debts and any assets in order to walk away scot free from the mountain of debt you were in. Therefore any assets from before the date the order was stamped are the property of the OR, not you. It is the OR's duty to maximise any assets to try to repay those who you owed money to.
Any such claim you make at any point in the future for any mis-selling or anything else that you can claim for that was done prior to your bankruptcy date will automatically go to the OR.This is a system account and does not represent a real person. I'm approaching 6 years post BR and just last week I got a call from a bank I used to have a credit card with 18 years ago. They said they had received a claim from the OR and were just checking with me whether I met the criteria for 'mis-sold' - I did. The OR will get anything due. Like Luvchocolate, I got a letter when I went BR specifically asking about PPI and advising all claims were now the receivers.
The fact you were not told that at the point you claimed will simply be 2 different departments.0 -
