PPI Offer after Bankrupcy

I've recently used the resolver form on the site to check a ppi claim, I received 10 separate letters with offers, which i accepted.
However I went bankrupt 6 years ago, so have been discharged 5 years, I received 2 letters yesterday and from what I can make out is that they have sent the claim to the Official Receiver.

So im guessing I wont receive anything? I mean surely the bankruptcy would have been seen when the ppi claim was submitted so surely should not have made me any offer in the first place?
Imagine how i felt being offered 10+K 4 weeks ago and now saying actually your not getting it?!
Can't be right!

Anyone else had similar issues??

It's absolutely right. You should never had submitted the complaint, as only the OR had the right to do that.

You've not lost anything, so nothing to be gutted about.

Without being rude, imagine lending someone money and then they go bankrupt and don't pay you back.

You ARE owed the PPI money. That is good. However you also owed lots of people money from your bankruptcy, so the PPI money will go towards paying them back.

You havent lost anything, just think of it like that, its simply a reorganisation of your previous debts.

Hi when you went B.R you received a note from the O.R asking if you had any P.P.I and you had no right to claim as this now belongs to the O.R.
There is a sticky at the top of this page which explains this.
Be thankful you had not used a company to claim this as the money would go to the O.R and you would be liable for their share.

When i say it can't be right I meant in the sense that the offers shouldn't of been offered, but a letter saying because of the bankruptcy what we can offer will go to the OR.

My B.R was 6 years ago and along with paperwork about nil tax code there was a letter asking if I had any P.P.I and to pass any details on to the O.R, I cannot understand why you did not receive this.
I have also received letters from companies saying as I am discharged I can claim P.P.I....this is totally untrue,it was never mine to claim.

The offers of redress will have been made by a separate department to the one which will have checked for former insolvency only once you accepted the offer I'm afraid.
Basically, bankrupts are not allowed to benefit personally from PPI complaints and you should have contacted the OR when you discovered you had PPI.

It's a claims company myth that PPI was routinely added without the knowledge and permission of the customer. This means you have either forgotten you had PPI or never read the documents you signed. While your complaint may have been that you didn't know you had it, there is no way the Bank will have upheld on that basis.

the right to make any such claim automatically vested in the OR when you went bankrupt. And the Insolvency Service is doing bulk claims.

Imagine if you had got the money, then got a letter from the OR asking for it all back?
