Moved to new address and moved back after 6 months

Hi All! I'm in a weird position, I have lived with my parents for years in one address in UK, then 4 months ago I moved out on my own. But I'm moving back to my parents in 2 months. What effect will this have on me? I'd like to get car on finance but I'm worried that when it asks me for my addresses, it will only be the 6 months at my old address and however long I will be at my parents since I moved back in. Is it possible that they ask me for 3 addresses then, to have more than 1 year of history? :( I'm so lost.

Lenders will see the change of addresses on your credit files, assuming you changed your address with your providers.

It may make you look more unstable in the eyes of some lenders. However, car finance is much easier to get than other types.

Moving address makes you look more "unstable". Which is just stupid in my eyes. You could be a billionaire with perfect credit history but like moving house a lot.

If you are a billionaire, you are unlikely to be troubled by such worries.
  • Thank you all for the replies. I will try the finance once I move back and see how it goes. Have a great day :)

You are generally asked for your address history for the past three years.
