POPLA appeal rejected

Hi
We have just received a rejected appeal from POPLA for not paying an NCP car park requested payment. My wife paid on the day and have evidence from our bank with an authorisation code. The bank has provided the city of payment and time made to NCP. I don’t understand how our appeal has been rejected and would like some help on what we can do next? We face a fine of minimum £50. Many thanks for any help

POPLA success is never guaranteed, the quality of assessors varies greatly.

Is this a case of an incorrect VRN being recorded via a keypad? Word on here is that judges take a dim view of PPCs taking such cases to court. Therefore, doing nothing until and unless you get a Letter Before Claim is the way to go.

This penalty charge (it is not a fine), does not need to be paid. It takes a little re-adjustment to realise that and reading the Newbies' thread and other relevant posts will help. Get reading and see what you think!

Assume you showed this proof to POPLA. ?

We are currently seeing that the POPLA assessors are not understanding hence they produce terrible results.

POPLA is not binding on you. However you do face receiving junk mail from debt collectors, known as morons who you ignore

NCP would be very stupid to go further

1: You can prove you paid
2: The money you paid, clearly NCP has stolen it

All you can do now is wait and if get a letter before claim from the dodgy solicitors called BWLegal, then come back here.

TAKE NO NOTICE OF ALL DEBT COLLECTORS

Misty, I assume that you mean parking charge
You never know how far you can go until you go too far.

Actually, I prefer the "penalty charge" as it is, in effect a penalty, albeit a disputable one.

A parking charge is, to my mind, the sum a motorist pay to park their vehicle, Confusing, Perhaps a "Parking Charge Notice" is better than either.
  • Many thanks for all who replied. I particularly like the comment that NCP have stole out money. I may persue this !
    I will keep you informed
    Thanks again
