ESA change of circumstances

I could do with some advice. I'm in receipt of contributory ESA and in the support group.
I am pretty sure I need to notify them of a change in circumstances because I've just had some books published.
Not with massive advances or anything; the royalties are paid retrospectively.
I write intermittently and certainly not more than 16 hours a week.
I can't find any advice online and the Society of Authors, though very helpful, didn't quite understand the question.

For permitted work you should have got permission from DWP before you started work because you need to fill out a form.I could do with some advice. I'm in receipt of contributory ESA and in the support group.

It's no more than 16 hours per week and earning a maximum £125.50 per week. You need to ring them.

Royalty payments are unusual but not unheard of. I only had to deal with 1 in all the years I worked on ESA. All you can do is contact ESA and ask what information they require. I'd expect that to be a royalty statement, plus evidence of the period the royalty is for if not on the statement.0
