Good morning, it's grey and damp here, the weather has gone back to normal.
Belated congratulations to Csarina and husband, hope you had a nice day.
RosyRed hope Mum and baby are doing well
TA. it seems thaat you are going to be busy today.
Glad you are feeling a bit better Dumpling.
My goodness OL, you sound determined today!!
This business of a clingy neighbour is difficult isn't it. It happened to me once, I'd left work to have my first baby, when all of a sudden this neighbour kept turning up every morning with her 2 young children.
I'd only ever said hello to her, as I'd worked full time since we'd moved into the house..I was young and had never dealt with the situation before. I think I resorted to going out when I didn't need to, to break the cycle, and she gradually stopped coming as much. I was glad because the children used to run riot and she didn't stop them, also I just didn't want someone sitting there every morning.
We are looking after youngest DGS today, then friends will be round tonight fot the usual Friday natter.
Thinking of the sad and poorly.
Take care folks

Morning everyone,
Happy Friday and welcome to March
As is becoming the norm, I worked late last night. First in, last out. I don't mind too much, as I take pride in my work ethic and quality of the work I do, providing that it pays off (in my case that means sales, which means commission). Once I left work I noticed I hadn't been paid, and given I've all my direct debits/standing orders coming off today, I needed cash. Told my boss and he wired me some to cover me, thankfully. Went to make dinner and realised I was missing passata for my meatball sauce, so poached eggs and bacon it was.
I'll be visiting the gym this evening after work and aside from that, I'll have nothing planned for the rest of the night.
dumpling - lovely to hear you're feeling more positive. Enjoy you breakfast, it's a favourite of mine too!
camelot - I'm with you. I feel like we've skipped a month!
Organza - Do you what you can and that itself is a kind and generous thing to do. And also - congratulations on DS passing. Happy days.0 -
OL congratulations to DS.
Steve has gone to play 9 holes of golf with Chris who has taken a long weekend because it's Crystal's birthday on Monday. I'm going to do a Friday tidy before things slide into total chaos.
Steve fixed the downstairs toilet yesterday so that is now in use, it just kept running all the time.

Morning! Well, yesterdays visit to the CAB was an eye opener...suffice to say that finances were abysmal following loss of SSP [ which is not to say they were great with that] but there is some hope there may be slightly more coming in, even if it'll be a few months.
I am also nabbing what I can on Freecycle for eventual looks of the house and also I managed to be lucky with a type of multi processor thing which will help with the chopping and grating of stuff [be still my beating [STRIKE]heart[/STRIKE] fingers...]. It's old. but it works, which is just the way I like them, they used to be built much more robustly...
Little prince is in, was most miffed when his sister turned up yesterday, he does the whole trying to be friends thing, she whacks him round the head. Family eh?
Right, onwards and outwards....
Congratulations rosy red on your addition to the family, congrats too OL to your son, does he want to practice on my house by any chance? And you weren't moaning, your were sharing what happened! Speky, you have got to sort yourself out, that's two meals down now! Nelski, enjoy your peripatetic day, and...relaxxx....when you get home! Holly,I hope the dive renders something tasty, I think I'd be afraid to do that in mine, it could be anything....dumpling, glad you're better but you know you can post even when you're not yes?
Wotcha absentees....

Morning all. DH has gone to take Dgs to school as DD has training this morning at 9.30. I have made coffee and expect him back any minute. We are also.looking after him this evening. As DD is going out with some of the mums from school. They are a nice bunch and the children go to lots of activities together.
Congrats granny RR.
Csarina hope you had a lovely anniversary.
LW glad to see you.posting.

Had to laugh when I saw this,we've been having the same problem with both our toilets,DH got the spare part for one yesterday but the other is harder to find as it's an spacesaver eco toilet ( combined sink & loo) the water from the sink goes into the cistern.
Sorry your finances are not great taff, hope things look up.:heartsmil 'A woman is like a teabag: You never know her strength until you drop her in hot water'. (Eleanor Roosevelt)0 -
CSARINA you have got totally the wrong impression of my DD. I only wish she had time to think of herself! She has been on her own with the 3 girls since her ex decided he didn't want to be tied down with family life whilst she was pregnant with the youngest. Everything she does is for her girls and I'd be a poor mum if I didn't help her out as much as I could, She could have gone on benefits but she didn't want that and we said we would help her as much as we could with childcare if she wanted to go back to work. When on an early shift she has to leave home at 6.30 and the girls all sleep here so I can get them fed, watered and ready for school.
She has met a lovely chap who thinks the world of her and the girls but they don't live together, as much as he wants to.
She couldn't have done more when Bob died and was here with me every day for many weeks afterwards. I don't know how I would have coped without both her and my DS supporting me through the bereavement process."If you dream alone it will remain just a dream. But if we all dream together it will become reality"0 -
Morning all :hello:
" Dydd Gŵyl Dewi Hapus" ( Happy St David's Day ) to all my Welsh butties.
I woke this morning convinced it was Saturday . But it's not........ is it ?
Dad didn't come for tea yesterday as he was feeling ill, so I will ring him again tonight. He's done so much gadding about this week ( including a funeral and an afternoon tea with his cronies ) so he's probably picked up some germ or other. He said didn't want anything nor could I do anything. Consequently yesterday we didn't have the faggots and peas but had pie and chips instead. I will have a freezer dip later to find something for tea today, there's certainly plenty to choose from. Pudding will be the rest of the strawberries and cream
I don't know what today will bring as I've nothing planned, although there is some ironing with my name on it. I expect I'll find something that needs doing unless I can get through the day with my eyes shut :rotfl:.
Organza lace moan/ rant away when ever you have the need, we all go through it at some point.Congrats to your DS.
Csarina enjoy your cuddle
Rosyred I hope you see the baby today and that he's doing well.
Mehefin good luck to MrsM for today.
Have a good Friday whatever you are doing, especially those who have to go to work.
Take care and hugs to all.
