Switching to HSBC

Hi, I've hit most banks with the exception of HSBC and I want to switch my Halifax account to them for their tasty £175 (my Halifax account was one I kept open merely to collect the £5pm but that's since dwindled to £2...).
The only problem I can think of it I switched to First Direct for their juicy switch offer back in January 2018. I know both FD and HSBC share their FSCS amount... do you think I'll be exempt from receiving the switching bonus from HSBC if I switch now? I think there was a caveat about this which I read, but I think it's only if you've been with HSBC before switching to FD?
Thanks in advance

As a serial switcher, you'd be proficient in reading and understanding the switch offer T&Cs? Do they say you aren't eligible if you had, or have, an FD account?0

BIB, I doubt that is actually the case as they wouldn't get away with not paying the incentive based on something that's not in the T&Cs. I suspect they didn't read them properly or read the wrong ones. I've switched numerous times and always got the incentive because I had read and understood the T&Cs before I did them.Thanks... but I don't seem to be able to find that footnote in the T&C's?
And to the rest of you !!!!!! intent on replying with your unhelpful crap I've known people to get hit with no switch incentive because of a previous bank they were with and there was nothing in the T&C's. I'm really asking for advice from anyone else who has the done these switches in this order.
If you haven't got something useful to say then keep it to yourself.Retired at age 56 after having "light bulb moment" due to reading MSE and its forums. Have been converted to the "budget to zero" concept and use YNAB for all monthly budgeting and long term goals.0
