Post IVA question

Options
Hi,
I have been out of my IVA now for 2 years but I still keep getting letters off Tesco loans every 6 months saying that although I may have been in contact with them to arrange debt repayments they still have to send me this to let me know how much I owe. I have had my completion certificate everything so I thought they weren't supposed to keep contacting me. I have rung them and they have said I will be sent this every 6 months as it is still classed as a debt
How can this be it's really upsetting me. Thanks for any help on this.

    Hi,

It’s just a statement and is meaningless as your insolvency has repaid/written off the debt, just ignore it.

It's a system generated letter and they probably have no way of stopping it. If you are unhappy with the contact log a complaint with Tesco. Just check your credit file and check it is updated correctly as long as it is then just ignore the letters.

I think tesco were in my IVA, and don't recall them contacting me often, and not after the IVA.

I'd be tempted to mail them a letter explaining that your IVA is complete and as such your debts should now be written off, and please could they update their systems to reflect this. I'd also enclose a copy of the completion certificate

I would also check your credit files and if balance isn't showing as 0, and or default date is wrong complain through the credit reference agency
