Best investment tips for £20,000?

Options
So we have £20,000 to invest what are our best options? Premium Bonds? Cash ISA? Savings Account? Paying it off the mortgage? We are open to longer term investment to get a better rate of interest.

Sorry it's a bit of a broad question but some tips and input would be gratefully received thanks.

    Invest or save?

Do you have an emergency fund?

You are a couple? Has either of you ever had a Nationwide Flex direct current account?

Do you have TSB Classic Plus current accounts?

To mangle a phrase, your question "isn't even wrong"

You don't make investment decisions on the basis of how much money you have to invest. You make them on the basis of what the purpose of the investment is, the timescale, the risk and the financial circumstances of the investor.
