    OP the most sensible way to lease is go for the deal and not the brand so keep a broad shortlist and then hunt down the deals.

    Also learn what is a good deal which will take you a bit of time figuring out what deals are out there.

    I know a lot of people seem to be against the whole idea of a lease vehicle...

    The two biggest questions for me are (1) whether people understand what they are entering into (and we have seen posts here from people who clearly do not understand their PCPs), and (2) what the figures look like (again, we have seen PCPs above £400pm, which I think is questionable unless a person is very well-off indeed).

    I agree with Angus Og above about chasing the deal and not the car (at least until you have a short-list to test drive). There are various search-engine based lease sites (both those that search one company's deals and those that search the whole market). These can be used to find the best value lease against a set of vehicle criteria.

    The What Car search is a good example (with a couple of annoying limitations) and should be reasonably independent.
