If an account defaults, as an example in 2013. Then each month from April 2013 to February 2015 shows a red default marker on my credit file.
February 2015 being the date the account was satisfied and paid off. When does the default drop off? I was under the impression it's removed 6 years from the date of default yet it's still showing on my credit file?

If the account default date was April 2013, then the default will be removed from your credit file after six years, in April 2019.
Basically, a default is marked on a credit file for six years from the date of default.I work within the voluntary sector, supporting vulnerable people to rebuild their lives.
