Eon offer lapsed tariffs - Beware
Comments

thx MalcIt's also possible to forward switch to another of our tariffs by up to 52 days in advance. This service is only available through our website and, once locked in, the switch will go through even if the chosen tariff has subsequently been withdrawn from sale.
Using 'finding the right tariff for you' on the website, I am presented with my current tariff, and some other available tariffs, which i can switch to immediately.
Where does one forward switch and lock into to the invisible tariff, and why on earth cannot companies auto switch tariffs or at least auto offer the better tariff, where most of the customer criteria remains the same?0 -

Afternoon stog and to forward switch on our website you need to go through the tariff switching process for your chosen tariff. At the end, you'll see a screen with the option to delay the start of the move by up to 52 days. As mentioned earlier, once locked in, the switch will go through even if the chosen tariff has subsequently been withdrawn from sale.
This option is only available for the tariffs currently being offered through our website.
We're not allowed to put customers on to contracted products (with or without exit fees), like Fixed Term deals, without talking to them first. Customers can, though, switch themselves through our website once they've agreed to the terms and conditions of their chosen product.
Hope this points you in the right direction stog. Let me know if you need any more advice as happy to help (not here now until next Tuesday).
