Nothing plugged into "cooker" circuit

Hi
We're getting our ceramic hob replaced with gas today. I just removed the old hob, which was wired into a dedicated "cooker" circuit with an on/off switch on the wall (our oven is plugged in with a 13A fused plug to a socket on the same unit.
Is it safe to just leave the cooker switch in the off position with nothing plugged in, but with the oven plugged in drawing power off that same circuit? Or should I get an electrician in?
thanks
PS. Sorry, would have posted a picture but as new user I can't!

The main thing is to make sure that any covers are back on. No bare terminals or live wires should be exposed. Make sure any remaining connections to the cooker outlet are tight, but don't over-tighten them to the point of chopping the copper wire in half.
And turn the power off before you start fiddling with it!If it sticks, force it.
If it breaks, well it wasn't working right anyway.0 -
But if nothings plugged in, where will all the electricity go . . ?0
