Prepaid Hotel Issue - lost card straight after transaction

Hi All,
I booked a hotel room for me and a group of people abroad. The booking was for a "prepaid" price. Room has been reserved and the fine print says the cost can go out any time before arrival (the holiday is in a few months from now).
Straight after booking i lost the card and the bank will reissue a new card for me after i informed them. However as the payment had not gone out yet (reservation is confirmed) will the details they have on file still be valid? Will the payment go through as nothing is pending in my transactions?
I have tried emailing and calling the hotel to get clarity but haven't had a response yet.

I very much doubt it.
I had a new card issued in between Insurance renewal and I got a letter saying they were unable to take my payment from the card on file as it had been refused.
I had to contact them with the new card details.0
