Faulty sofa - what do I need to say?

Short ish story is we bought a very expensive sofa from DFS which arrived on Monday with a broken leg. They got someone to call us to arrange someone to come out and fix the leg (not until next week). Said I wasn’t sure as I didn’t want a fixed sofa I wanted the new sofa I paid for, they said oh it’ll be good as new etc so I went along with it.
The broken leg prompted me to have a good look around inside the sofa (the underneath unzips) - found loads of of faults, the sofa didn’t feel very rigid, there are just two supports on the back side of the sofa, one of which isn’t even attached at the bottom
It’s just loose with nails sticking out. Lots of cracked and splintered wood. No hard support on the back, lots of tears in the underside of the sofa.. I could go on. Anyway this is very poor and
I’m going to ring and say don’t come to fix it I want a replacement, my question is would I be unreasonable asking for a full replacement, it’s 3 sections, both of the ones I could get inside of were not satisfactory and I couldn’t get into the corner section.
The cushions all seem ok and it seems wasteful to expect those replaced too but I don’t want to run the risk of the fabrics not matching etc.
Also should I expect to keep that one while the replacement is being made?

I am expecting them to tell me they can’t replace it they will only fix it, but I know i have a right to ask for a replacement. What exactly do
I need to say?

    First of all, did you agree to allow them to repair initially? If so then you must allow them a reasonable time to do so.

    If the goods still didn't conform you would have the right to reject (for a refund), which would likely prompt dfs into offering a replacement but tbh, I'd personally avoid them at all costs. We've had many a thread about them for various reasons over the years.

    If you didn't agree to the repair yet then you have the right to reject goods that don't conform to contract within 30 days from delivery. As above, this may prompt dfs into offering a replacement...if you still want one.

    I'd contact them and say that altough I've agreed that you can replace the leg I've noticed other faults. I'd therefore like a refund or replacement.

    A little bit of research prior to purchase would not have gone amiss.

    As you have found out expensive does not mean quality.
