Chirping Phone???

Hope this is in the right place, i did wonder if it should be posted in the phone section? and if so please move mods.

My BT phone line is chirping at the dial tone!

I have checked the line with BT and they have called to say its ok.

I have disconnected all the phones (3) and left them out for 1/2 hour put them all back in and they are still chirping?

The answerphone works fine and so does my broadband.

Any suggestion as to what this is or has it happened to anyone else?

Thanks tried it tonight amongst other things and its looks like my phones that have gone!
