What’s your Track?

It may just be me, but I doubt it....
When trying new headphones, speakers, or any audio device - what is your ‘go to’ track / song?
I always, without fail, put on ‘in da club’ by 50 cent....it’s almost like subconsciously I have decided that track is the ‘constant’ and the player is the variable....
No idea why.... I just do...
Anyone else have this strange thing, and if so - what’s your track?

It only just occurred to me that 50 cent is usually top of the list when sorting by artist - which kinda explains it0

Had you thought of including 1 Direction in your sort?!
Or, indeed, your play list?0 -
Or finding a more suitable board for such a question?0

I used to obsess over things like this in the 1970s, but not any more. I realised years ago that I would listen to things in the (HiFi) store, but that when I got home, they sounded totally different, so I've just bought things on reputation and previous experience with brands for years. That includes speakers.
Digital source devices are much of a muchness, once you reach a certain level. The source material and the mastering of same has much more influence on the end result. There's little point obsessing over differences in sound when the only source material you have is a 192kBps mp3 file. Can't make a silk purse out of a sow's ear.0 -
A fairly common concern, so much so that Spotify has this playlist - Songs To Test Headphones With - although IMO there are some dubious choices on there (plus it contains 150 songs, lasting 13 hours, which is some headphone test).0
