Incorrect name on deemed contract

Unfortunately it's too late to do anything about it now, but what should have happened is your Husband contact UW himself as the new tenant and started a new account with them, rather than trying to change the name on an existing account.


It wasn't the landlords job to contact UW with any name, it should have been left to your husband in the first place, but the LL was either trying to be helpful (because so many people come unstuck when they DON'T contact the incumbent supplier) or they were getting kickbacks from UW
