UKPC Parking ticket Gallagher retail Park, Dundee

Looking for advice
We have a lease car which was ticketed in Gallagher Retail Park, Dundee. The parking is free for 2 hours, if you display a ticket. It was Christmas Eve, no ticket was displayed but we were there under 2 hours. There are two people who drive the car
We received notification direct from UKPC and also from the leasing company. Usual advice seems to be ignore however if ignored the leasing company will eventually be approached and they will pay the now £100 and will pass that on.
What is best approach, should we engage UKPC to keep them from contacting the leasing company or ignore them all together,
Thanks in advance

all covered in the NEWBIES sticky thread

because it is a lease vehicle, you appeal as keeper (as lessee) using the edna baher type of appeal letter, getting them to deal with you direct (hooking them in your direction)

if an NTH comes in your name , you appeal it as keeper, then ignore if they fail to cancel

this is different than if you were the RK, which you are not (otherwise you would be told to IGNORE)

the leasing company should have identified you as hirer and told UKPC, so that you get an NTH in your own name

You must. As the NEWBIES thread, and forum posts by Edna Basher, explain.

  • Any advice on my situation - I placed a parking ticket from my gym, DW Fitness on my dashboard, this allows 4 hours parking and was dated 10 am. When I got back I had a parking fine. I then noticed my DW parking ticket had fallen off the dashboard. I sent a pic of my ticket showing clearly 10am and my fine was 10:26. I have had a reply stating they will allow a reduced fine of £15? I have a ticket with my reg on it and a time before the fine was issued? If the attendant had looked inside my car he would have seen the ticket in the footwell. Can I ignore this now or should I pay? Thank you

    Hi there,
I'm interested to know how you got on as I am in exactly the same position.
The parking notices as this site are very small and it's not obvious that you have to get a ticket.
    Thanks.

UKPC are rogues, liars, and vagabonds, read this

Lulu, if you want advice please srat your own thread, and also complain to your MP

They are obviously trying to scam you so complain to your MP.

Parliament is well aware of the MO of these private parking companies, and on 15th March 2019 a Bill was enacted to curb the excesses of these shysters. Codes of Practice are being drawn up, an independent appeals service will be set up, and access to the DVLA's date base more rigorously policed, and persistent offenders denied access. Hopefully life will become impossible for the worst of these scammers.

Until this is done you should still complain to your MP, citing the new legislation.

Just as the clampers were finally closed down, so hopefully will many of these Private Parking Companies.

Who are you addressing as there are two different posters posting here - the original poster (lease car in Dundee) or the hijacker (DW Fitness Car Park user)?

This is the confusion caused by any question asked by anyone other than the original poster.
