Virgin Mastercard Rejection, help me understand why

Ben for more info I just checked my store credit account. It's with NEXT and it carries a limit of £5,000. It's in my name only. The balance is almost always zero. I have had this account for about 7-8 years.0

My other issue is that if my husband is the primary card holder, then I am not able to link my Virgin Flying Club number to the account, am I? My account has all the miles in it, so this is where I wanted them to go. I wish Virgin had pooled household accounts like BA without holding Gold status. This is making me second guess this card now that I see we have to apply in his name.0

Contact Virgin and ask them.
They’re the ones that can answer the questions on their product set.0 -
I think one of the main reasons you are having trouble is that you may have no/little UK credit history in youir own name?0

Ben8282 - I have also been turned down for a Virgin Money balance transfer card despite having a faultless credit history and the MSE eligibility calculator saying I was pre approved 100% certain of being accepted!0

Virgin are notorious for rejections - there’s many posts on here about it.
People seem to have luck by calling up and contesting the outcome and asking for a manual check to be made and it then seems to go through and accept0 -
No. I said use their own eligibility checker on the Virgin Money website. It gave me guaranteed acceptance if I applied on the same day using the same details then transferred the details I had entered in the eligibility checker directly to the application form..Ben8282 - I have also been turned down for a Virgin Money balance transfer card despite having a faultless credit history and the MSE eligibility calculator saying I was pre approved 100% certain of being accepted!0
