Parking paid but car parked in wrong bay

I park at Haywards Heath station car park usually 1-2 times each week. I prepaid my parking for today but when I arrived later than usal, all regular bays were full. I was in a hurry to catch a train and after driving around for 15 minutes thought I would chance it and park in one of the premium bays......and guess what? I returned to find a £100/£60 fixed penalty notice. I'm hoping mad with myself but more angry with the amount they are trying to fleece me.

I have seen all the railway byes laws/signage blah blah but really don't want to pay this fine on principle. So..my question - should I pay up now and save myself £40 or fight the !!!!!!s? Any feedback from anyone with similar experience or advice very much appreciated. Thank you

If by that you mean the NEWBIE section, then you know what to do as it tells you in there about spinning it out beyond he six month deadline.

wait for the NTK and appeal as keeper with the blue text template

then ignore it for 6 months until it "times out"

there is no easy answer other than the above and fronting it out , which is what everyone else has done on here in fighting these bylaws tickets

nobody on here will tell you to pay it

If this is Indigo, search the forum for INDIGO 6 months time out, and ignore them.

The NEWBIES sticky thread tells you about these fake penalties and that Indigo can't sue, and the cases time out with no more than letters being sent.
PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).
