Pip decision without face to face?

1.9K Posts

I sent off a change of circumstance PIP form in January along with letters from neuro and MS nurses.
Bearing in mind the letter from my Neuro advising i could not safey walk more than 20 metres was dismissed (the report from court said it was suspected the physical report from my neuro simply read as what i had requested he write so that i would keep my car!!) when i had my pip tribunal last January, they have decided i don't need a face to face interview and they will be using evidence given and evidence from a call with my MS Nurse and my form.
I have no idea now if this is a good thing or a bad thing. Does anyone have experience of a decision made without a face to face?
I have today called and requested a copy of the report but wondered if anyone had any experience?
i went to tribunal as believe i should get enhanced for both components but had been awarded standard for both and this stayed the same despite MS Society and my MS nurse encouraging me for MR, tribunal and then an appeal to appeal (refused)
I'm not sure i can face being called a liar again. wish they'd come and live my life for a week.

It's recommended her award stays at Enhanced for both parts. However, the award length of time is recommended for just another 1 year...again. Despite all the evidence i sent, which included ASD assessment report, learning disability assessment report and a care plan written by social services and also a EHCP. None of the evidence i sent was used when writing the report, what they used was the last assessment report and the AR1 review form that i sent. I know it's recommended Enhanced for both but a 1 year review for someone who will need help and support every day for the rest of their life, is a complete joke.
I have already spoken to a case manager regarding the recommended short review saying i disagree and my reasons why. All i'm waiting for is a decision and on Monday i was told it's waiting to be looked at.
I will update once i get the report back
Paper based decision.
Once I scribbled and posted the forms and m.s. hospital contacts.
It was possibly less stressful than worrying about a face to face interview.
Only concern now is once the switch from pip to u.c. Begins eventually.
Good luck!
Felling positive now for a good decision whenever that is made. Fingers crossed the decision maker agrees
Chuffed to bits. this is what i had before on dla, they reduced it to standard when i swapped to pip two years ago.
Just more proof that it all depends on who you get doing the assessment as far as I'm concerned.
PIP is not a UC legacy benefit
Good news
