Euro Car Park PCN - ignored so far - good approach?

Hi

I have received the Euro Car Park PCN first letter on the 12/01 which i ignored and recently another one which I ignored as well.
Overstayed by 10 mins.
Car park was free for the first 2 hours.
Not really want to pay but I think it is now too late to appeal (had only 28 days) and probably going to ignore any further correspondence and wait until (if) they get me to court.
Or shall I appeal anyway?
I'm in the UK (West Midlands)
Any advice much appreciated

Many Thanks
Pat

You should have not ignored (that is very old news)

You could have appealed quoting the grace period.

You could still contact them quoting their lack of the grace period as long as you can show/prove the 10 mins

This is not an appeal as you lost that right

Be prepared to receive idiot debt collector letters ... have a read

    YOU IGNORE DEBT COLLECTORS TOTALLY

    You now just wait
  • Thanks for that.
Looks like I missed the trick already.

Maybe I just pay and have a good night sleep?

Are they likely to take me to court?

    Maybe I just pay
    Such questions are unofficially banned!

And it's ONLY ECP who never sue anyone and have no idea how. I have ignored them myself, and the sky doesn't fall in. And if you overstayed by 10 mins, then this is within the allowed BPA grace period! So no PCN should have been issued.

What happened when you read the NEWBIES thread first, then did the first thing it tells you to do? (no, that's not 'appeal' - it's complain to the retailer Store Manager and they can cancel it in minutes).
PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

  • Now received debt recovery letter from DRP which I am going to ignore.

It's quoting Supreme Court decision example case (giving link) where the court ruled that the charge was lawful. It worries me a bit but I trust you guys and am still going to ignore DRP.

Hopefully they will not take it to court.

    Cheers

But as you know, DRP are simply morons operating out of the sewer

    They spout rubbish and lie

Here is the Beavis case (Supreme court) in a nutshell

Barry Beavis took Parking Eye to court because he claimed
the charges were unfair. The court said they were ... and
that was it. So unless you are claiming that the charge
was unfair, the Supreme court decision has no bearing
on you and it's yet more rubbish that debt crawlers use

Therefore, if this not your case, then you can see that DRP are still suffering a severe attack of verbal diarrhoea
