Boiler for this quote is ecoFIT pure 35KW (given higher flow rate for possible future extension)

It's the same boiler as a Glowworm, bizarre that all the boiler quotes you have had so far use aluminium heat exchangers when all the quality boilers use stainless steel.

    The top 3 are

    Intergas
    Atag
    Vissmann

Under a combi system, is it true that shower goes cold/stops/trickles when toilet is flushed or other cold taps are turned on?

I thought this only happens when hot water (not cold supplies) is turned on elsewhere.

With a combi, the mains water supply delivers the pressure that pushes the heated water out of wherever you're using it. The lower the mains pressure, the more likely you are to notice it. I have good mains pressure here [15l/minute upstairs], and flushing the toilet does not noticeably affect the shower.

Ok its great to hear pressure drop is not too noticeable with a little higher mains flow rate.

I measured flow rates today and was getting 16.5 litres a minute on the outside tap after turning stopcock a little (not all the way)... plus I don't think the plumber turned tap all the way to measure as he was happy with the 13l/m. Will have to ask next plumber to properly measure after stopcock is opened all the way.

16.5 ltrs/min is flow it has nothing at all to do with pressure, what you have to think about is that what ever you have coming into your house will be used to feed everything hot & cold so yes using two outlets or flushing the loo or the washing machine filling WILL effect the taps or showers, by how much does depend on pressure & flow

Better keep the fire brigade on speed dial then unless you electrocute yourself/others first.

Don't fret I've made sure that the water & gas is bonded with 6mm2 earth cable 👍

I know you're trying to be smart, but depending on the Earthing arrangements and other factors that actually can be compliant. But I didn't expect you to understand BS7671.

Or of course not bonded at all if the incoming services are plastic!
I have a lot of problems with my neighbours, they hammer and bang on the walls sometimes until 2 or 3 in the morning - some nights I can hardly hear myself drilling ;)
