Email Correspondence instead of Letter

Hello everyone,
I tried finding the answer to my question in the search function, however this did not seem to have come up beforehand.
Long Story Short:
I have received a "Parking Charge Notice - Notice to Keeper" from Britannia Parking, read the Newbies Thread and copied and pasted the text into the online appeal box.
I received an email with a correspondence attached stating that the appeal was rejected and a POPLA code. This correspondence did not include any of the requested information and seemed like a template.
My question is:
Since the appeal text, which I copied into the appeal box clearly stated:
"Should you later pursue this charge by way of litigation, note that service of any legal documents by email is expressly disallowed and you are not entitled to assume that the data in this dispute/appeal remains the current address for service in the future."
Can i just ignore this correspondence, as I have expressedly disallowed correspondence via email and at a later stage claim I have never been granted the opportunity to appeal via POPLA?

You have received a rejection of your appeal. This does not constitute the issuing legal documents.
You now need to make a PoPLA appeal using all template points available from post 3 of the NEWBIES. Post your draft here before submitting it.I married my cousin. I had to...I don't have a sister. All my screwdrivers are cordless."You're Safety Is My Primary Concern Dear" - Laks0 -
no you cannot ignore it , even though you requested it by letter , they have decided to differ and email you back regardless
use the POPLA code and draft your popla appeal within say 30 days of the rejection
trying to be clever just means you have to do more work later
take the easy option whilst you can do so0 -
Any legal papers will be sent by post. If you get a LBC or court papers you can be sure they will be sent by first class mail.
A POPLA code and an appeal rejection is way short of litigation so they have not ignored your paragraph at all. You have not stated an appeal rejection must be by post.0 -

That paragraph is something and nothing, and is clearly only talking about not using email at litigation stage (much later). It doesn't mean anything much, no idea why people think it means they can ignore a POPLA code emailed to them!PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).
