I would think that you would find how to do that and more, and for free via youtube

Unfortunately no matter how much you learn, you tent to only know as much as you use, and a vaguer idea as time and importance of that section of the subject passes. I suppose for some employers may tick a box???

Office MOS certification tend to be worthless, and I do not know anybody with one. Our org once trained EDCL, which was also worthless too. although at one stage it was put on job applications to keep people with no computing experience away.

If you are looking for something useful and technical, People are literally paying About £3k for lessons for this which is free on youtube https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hLX6HyKg2x0 Some companies offer the same course over 4 days. In the 4 days you get the material, but you spend the 4 days answering exam questions, so that you pass the multiple choice exam that quite a few helpdesk and techie starters take. What the industry get from these braindump courses are people that know a CPU fits into a motherboard, but do not know what CPU is the acronym of .

Thanks what I take from YouTube videos is possibly not getting stored in memory as much as younger years, I find e learning courses not bad with some offering questions/answer stages through each step of course,
I think the mentioned course could be worth for home enjoyment and if so I could then consider the certification type course, rather grasp the basic 1st

To get the the review of the 5th position, I will probably now need at least 10 reviews, if not more :undecided: Written notes are now the way to go

Is that inclusive of learning media type such as visual/voice/ video etc.
Though interesting as I shouldn't be forgetting according to the chart.
YouTube means tech vids/music for entertainment.
I'm going to purchase the mentioned Course this week and start hopefully Thurs night.
Unless any mser's suggest a course with a certificate that may prove more useful at low cost for office 365.

Look on ebay, you should be able to purchase a valid key for office 365, or 2016/7 for about £5 - last time I looked. It is only word processing that many use, and does not change that much.

Personally feel that watching a video is not learning. same as watching a film. 15 mins from the end, you can still remember the plot of the film, but rarely remember the characters name - or it could be just me

Thanks I subscribe to office 365 and have basis knowledge though no decent editing skills or formulas as such.

You don't need "editing skills", all you need to know in Word for editing purposes is where the Enter and Delete keys are and what most of the stuff does on the Home tab in Word.

If you know all that you already know how to use Word more effectively than a lot of people I've seen who claim to have been using it forever and a day and seem surprised that justified text is even an option. Anything else you need to know you can Google to find out.

As for Formula - if you can get Excel to add a bunch of numbers up, that's what most people will use it for. Again if you know how to use the features on the default Home tab, you're doing better than most.

Thanks I'm considering the mentioned course could maybe lead to a qualified course of my choice maybe next year if I can complete the office365 course in the quoted 12 months.
Could be fun returning to some form of coursework after quite a number of years.
