NEWBIE - A little confused - parking charge notice

Hi all, I know on the Newbies thread it says don't start a thread unless at a certain stage, but I am a little bit confused as what to do.
Here is a bit of background. The car was parked in a pub as ‘the keeper’ ate in the pub for roughly 1 hour. I am not sure what the grace period is for that particular car park. - I received the standard £60 'fine' going up to £100 in 14 days if no payment. There is a picture of my car entering the car park with the time stamp but there is no picture of the driver.
One of the things I am concerned about is can I still win an appeal the car was infect parked in the space during which time it was supposed to be paid for, for roughly an hour?
My final question is about the blue one size fits all letter. Do I still use this if the car was caught by an ANRP machine or is that letter just for windscreen parking charge notice’?
Not sure if it makes a difference but they also spelt my name as the keeper wrong on the letter…
The name of the parking charge notice company is Britannia Parking.
Thank you for any help.!

Well, a PPC whose name begins with "P" can't be many of those.. When you have your documents in front of you, let us know the name of the PPC. For now it doesn't matter, just send the blue template appeal as is with no modifications or deletions. It will likely be rejected and the idea is to elicit a POPLA code (if it is the type of PPC that uses POPLA).
In the meantime complain in the strongest possible terms to the pub - if it was their car park - about the cost of a meal being £60/£100 more than it shows on their menu due to the parking parasites with whom the pub have contracted.0 -
Thanks for your quick response @le_kirk. Apologies I have since found the name and it is actually Britannia Parking (i have now updated the initial post as well).
I will send the blue template letter off then, I guess time wise the sooner the better? I read something about that 28 day rule but I don't think that applies to Britannia Parking appeals does it?
i will complain to the pub but I doubt they are likely to even respond knowing that pub...0 -
If the pub is brewery owned, no harm in pinging off a complaint letter to them too.
Yes, the sooner the better. The details of any appeal timelines will either be on the charge notice, or notice to keeper.Natwest OD - Start: £1,500 Current: £1,500 | Creation Loan - Start: £2,152.33 Current: £2,082.90 | Barclaycard CC - Start: £5,242.42 Current: £5,416.45 | Novuna Loan - Start: £8,598.43 Current: £8,366.04 | Tesco CC - Start: £9,420.22 Current: £9,885 | Northridge Car - Start: £15,584 Current: £15,017
Starting total on 02.07.2024 is: £42,497.40 | Current total: £42,267.39 (0.5% paid off)0 -

BRITANNIA ????
1: How clear are the signs
2: Are you supposed to enter your VRN in the pub?
If you think the pub will ignore you, then a very strongly worded letter (or go and see the boss)
The landlord should be made aware that if any case arises, you will involve him personally.
Cancellation is the only way to stem your wrath because you can involve your local media and of course you have social media.
Pubs are going out of business daily, this could be the next one
Pubs using companies like Britannia and their antics, are more likely to go bust than any other0 -
Maybe, as beamerguy says, you are meant to enter your VRN in the pub, but the signs were not prominent about that requirement, and inside the pub no-one told you and no signs mentioned this 'obligation' either.
You need to complain in person, many publicans do cancel these when seen in person.PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).
