Excel Training and Microsoft Office

I am in the process of going through redundancy and start a new job 01st April - and so I will have a lot of free time at work. Yes I could just sit on my hands and do nothing for a few weeks, but I want to use the time usefully for my own personal gain, while I am in the office. So for example I would like to improve my Excel skills and learn new things that Microsoft Office can do etc etc which hopefully I can bring to my new job.
Any recommendations of training videos on Youtube or on line courses that are reasonably priced? When you are being made redundant your motivation drops so I really want to give my self a kick up the backside for this next month. Thanks in advance.

I'm in the same position as the OP, I've looked at the suggested website, some huge discounts on offer, not sure how reliable they are
My IT (MS) skills are very basic:o:o
A private tutor would suite me more0 -
Or you could work your way through this resource which is free:

To be honest for what most people use Excel for the above will cover it. Anything more advanced you can find through Google.
A lot of people don't realise how powerful Excel can be. It's definitely worth learning how to use it (and the rest of Office) properly. The only real exception here is Access, because Access is fairly unique and unlike everything else you need to plan with it first, you can't really just jump in and play to learn that way.0 -
That's great Neil, thank you :T
Is there anything for MS word?0 -
Best of luck in the new job.
Use this for Microsoft Offfice support and learning.

Try GCF courses, the only drawback is there's no accredited qualification, but best of all, they're free!Neil_Jones wrote: »

Having learned to use Pivot tables via GCF, I've found that things I've been sorting manually, could have been automated!0 -
I recently did "Microsoft Excel - From Beginner To Expert" on Udemy.com - really understandable, I'd definitely recommend it.0
