Hi,
We took out a credit card with HSBC in Manila around 2002. I have since closed the account and have contacted HSBC in the UK and they say they can't find our account details. I am wondering if PPI was also miss sold in other countries?

No.
UK regulations will not apply in Manilla (and/ or "other countries") . . .0 -
It could have been miss-sold yes, just nothing that has happened in the UK vis a vis the PPI miss-selling scandal has anything at all to do with sales in Manila
Sam Vimes' Boots Theory of Socioeconomic Unfairness:
People are rich because they spend less money. A poor man buys $10 boots that last a season or two before he's walking in wet shoes and has to buy another pair. A rich man buys $50 boots that are made better and give him 10 years of dry feet. The poor man has spent $100 over those 10 years and still has wet feet.
