Twitter - basic question

How do I tweet a company and have it appear on their twitter page so others can see it.
Or, do I have to wait until they do something for it to appear.
I sent a tweet to a company asking for an answer to a question I have emailed them about three times and although it appears on my feed, it doesnt appear on theirs.
Do I need to hastag it also like on Instagram?
The message is formatted like so.
@companyname_uk Any chance you can reply to my support request number xxxxx from 9/2/19..<blah blah blah>
Thanks

For (others and) you to see your tweet to @companyname_uk goto
https://twitter.com/companyname_uk/with_repliesIf you put your general location in your Profile, somebody here may be able to come and help you.0 -
Thanks - so they have to reply to it before it appears on their feed?
It appears on my /with_replies feed but not theirs yet.0 -
It doesn’t appear on their feed as it’s your tweet. A tweet you do will only appear on someone else’s page if they retweet it. They can still reply to a tweet you have sent and this will appear on their page under tweets and replies. It won’t appear on their main page.
Your tweet will only appear on your profile and in the search button if somebody searches for the company you have tagged. Hope this helps.0 -
Slightly off-topic but if you want to follow tweets to and from @companyname_uk then the mention tag is useful IE +@companyname_uk This doesn't work very well at twitter.com because the default ordering is Top rather than Latest (its an option on a menu bar).
Tweetdeck.twitter.com default sort is Latest (sensible) and makes it easy to track to/from tweets using +@companyname_uk and you can follow multiple companies (in column format). If you put your general location in your Profile, somebody here may be able to come and help you.0 -
Another tip would be not to start the tweet with their twitter address.
"@company can you help me"
will only be seen by the company, but
"hello @company can you help me"
can be seen by everyone that follows you as well as the company concerned.
Just helps spread it a bit wider.0
