Assets

Hi I’m trying to fill in iht205
And confused about assets
Are items such as cars, Narrowboat furniture joint assets ie 9.2 on form
What about deceased Jewellery
Is that deceased OWN assets section 11 or joint asset automatically passed to survivor

Comments

  • Unless there any considerably valuable pieces among the effects they can be lumped into a single item under household effects. Remember that most modern second hand jewellery is worth a fraction of what it cost new.

How big is the estate? Unless it reaches the IHT limit it does not really matter.
