This is the letter I wrote to britpark
.
We parked for a very short time in the morning arriving at 10:39 am and left soon after within ten mins.
Please check you cameras we left soon after. We were driving around many places that Saturday.
Then my wife popped in again soon after 3pm please check your cameras you will see the arrival time around 3pm for the second visit. She left at 3:15:27 on the second visit.
Both visits were only for a short time 10 mins or so.
You have mistakenly thought the car was there all day.
Please confirm you have checked your cameras and that this mistake will be rectified.

Thanks, I'm trying to appeal on the website, but it's rubbish, you go round in circles nd there is no way to appeal.
I have written in email and now snail mail.
I have tried ringing but it's just answer machines for paying the fines, I need to speak to somebody.
I tried to to call a different department in britpark and eventually got through to a human but they are no help they say it has to be done on the website, but I explained it's not working.
I'm fed up, what can I do now please?Nothing has been fixed since 2008, it was just pushed into the future0 -

Who is the retailer
Waitrose
And the parking company is called britpark.
It should be easy to clear up if they just check the bloody cameras.
I'm reluctant to shop there from now on. I think they have lost a good customer due to britpark so mistakes.Nothing has been fixed since 2008, it was just pushed into the future0 -

Complain to Waitrose Head CEO, like this person did:

Sorted very quickly, and Waitrose were alerted to a customer's wrath. Join that person.
Please do it in your own words and make it clear they are losing customers by allowing a firm who are data intrusive, harass and SUE PEOPLE every day, to harass their customers with secret (not well signed) and faulty ANPR systems.
Unacceptable, Waitys. Kick Britannia out.PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

I am surprised that a member of The John Lewis Partnership share a mattress with this low life, some reading.
https://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/discussion/5550336/double-dip-parking-list-of-cases
The whole industry is a scam, relying on threats of court, and the public's ignorance of the Law, A bill is currently before parliament which will regulate the scammers, many of whom are ex-clampers.
This is an entirely unregulated industry which is scamming the public with inflated claims for minor breaches of alleged contracts for alleged parking offences, aided and abetted by a handful of low-rent solicitors. Is has been suggested by an MP that some of these companies may have connections to organised crime.
Parking Eye, CPM, Smart, (especially Smart}, and others have already been named and shamed in the House of Commons as have Gladstones Solicitors, and BW Legal, (these two law firms take hundreds of these cases to court each week), hospital car parks and residential complex tickets have been especially mentioned. They lose most of them, and have been reported to the regulatory authority by an M.P. for unprofessional conduct
The problem has become so widespread that MPs have agreed to enact a Bill to regulate these scammers.
Sir Greg Knight's Private Members Bill to curb the excesses, and perhaps close down, some of these companies passed its Second Reading in the Lords this month, and, with a fair wind, will l become Law later this year..
All five readings are available to watch on the internet, (some 7-8 hours), and published in Hansard. MPs have an extremely low opinion of the industry. Many are complaining that they are becoming overwhelmed by complaints from members of the public. Add to their burden, complain in the most robust terms about the scammers. You never know how far you can go until you go too far.0
